Are you vacationing in Maple Grove, MN? Check out Brick & Bourbon, a restaurant and bar with a unique menu and an extensive Bourbon and Drink menu.
A couple of weeks ago, I was in Maple Grove for a wedding. While we waited for the rest of my family to arrive, we decided to find some dinner. I googled restaurants nearby and found Brick & Bourbon. After reading the menus I decided I wanted to check it out.
They offer an online check-in option so we didn’t need to wait very long after we arrived. We sat at a table near the back door to the patio. Not outside as I’d hoped but there was no wait inside so we decided it was ok.

Where is Brick & Bourbon?
Brick & Bourbon is located on Elm Creek Blvd in Maple Grove north of the Interstate 94/694 split. There is a lot of parking in the area so no need to worry about that. The exterior is a brick building with large floor-to-ceiling windows.
Benches are available inside and outside if you need to wait for a table.
What is the atmosphere like?
The atmosphere is best described as industrial casual. People were dressed in everything from sports coats and dress pants to jeans and a T-shirt. It’s kind of an anything-goes-for dress.
The inside gave me a cigar lounge-like vibe. Dark-colored tables and chairs with black leather seats are mixed in with red leather U-shaped booths along the perimeter. Bourbon barrels sit on top of the support beams in the vaulted ceiling. Exposed brick walls give Brick & Bourbon a vintage feel while still looking modern.
A small loft inside the front door has several tables and chairs with TVs airing sporting events. There are a few other TVs around but it does not feel like a sports bar.
The outside patio has bourbon barrel tables with bench seating and umbrellas, fire tables with Adirondack chairs, and a basketball arcade game in the corner.
Inside or outside you will find your vibe at Brick & Bourbon.
What is the food like at Brick & Bourbon?
Ok, the food…It was crazy good. They have several appetizers, soups, and salads but also have a unique selection of burgers, sandwiches, entrees, and seven different flavors of Mac and Cheese. Yes, 7!!! I probably should have ordered one and I really thought about it but something else kept drawing my eye…
I ordered the PB & Jay. A burger cooked in a cast iron pan topped with habanero jack cheese, extra thick-cut bacon, pomegranate siracha marmalade, and bourbon peanut butter. If that is not enough to make you drool… the bun is no ordinary bun. It is a glazed donut!
An amazing burger served on a glazed donut. It sounded so odd I really needed to try it. I’m glad it did! Not only was it unique, it was wonderful!
It came with fries that were amazing too. Nicely seasoned with a seasoned salt that made these very tasty and a perfect side to offset the sweetness of my PB & Jay burger.
They have gluten-free buns available as well!
What kind of drinks do they have?
The short answer is pretty much everything. Their drink menu is bigger than the food menu…by a lot! Of course, a restaurant named Brick & Bourbon has a lot of bourbon and whiskey. You can order any of their bourbons or whiskey on the rocks or neat but they also have many different bourbon-based cocktails.
I tried the Mac Daddy which is bourbon, lemon juice, and lavender syrup. It was a nice refreshing cocktail on a warm summer evening.
But the showstopper was the drink my boo ordered. A Smoking Gun Living La Vida Smoka; bourbon, tequila, mezcal, lime agave, and fresh pineapple juice. This was served under a dome full of oak wood smoke. After a few minutes, we pulled off the top and the puff of smoke left behind a beautifully smoked cocktail served with a grilled pineapple slice.
If you like smoked cocktails, I highly recommend this drink!
Is there more to drink than bourbon?
Is bourbon, not your thing? The good news is Brick & Bourbon does offer other non-bourbon specialty cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic options. Since they have a full bar, you can also order any cocktail and they can probably make it.
There really is something for every taste.
Do they have a kid’s menu at Brick & Bourbon?
Since I was in Maple Grove for a family wedding, there was a possibility my sister and her kids would join us for dinner. I tried to find anything online that would answer this question. The kid’s menu seemed a bit straight forward but for some reason, there was nothing on the website.
I tried calling but no answer. To help all of you who may be trying to find this answer, I will post it here. YES, Brick & Bourbon has a kid’s menu. I don’t know why it’s not on their menu but I asked for future reference and I was told yes there is a kid’s menu.
Should you go to Brick & Bourbon?
I will absolutely go back to Brick & Bourbon so I would also recommend you go too. This is a place you can relax after work for happy hour, take some business clients for a meal, your boo for a date night, or your family for a fun time out.
There were many different menu items I wanted to try including that mac and cheese. But also the patio is so inviting. No matter what your occasion or if you just want to get out, you should consider Brick & Bourbon.
Food can be an adventure too. Happy travels and remember the world is full of adventures all around you. Get out there!
