There are many misconceptions about life in the Midwest. People have asked me if there is electricity, movie theaters, and malls here. There seems to be a general understanding these exist in large metropolitan cities but not in rural areas. I assure you, there is a lot more to living in the Midwest than most people realize.

Some would say I should not share all of these Midwest living adventures because everyone will want to visit. But I want to dispel the myths and stereotypes to show the world what Midwest living is really like.

We have crazy weather; yes our winters are long but no it’s not most of the year; yes our winters are cold but our summers are hot. We have all four seasons and know how to enjoy each and every one.

Our lakes are beautiful, the bluffs are majestic, and the prairies have sunsets to rival any landscape anywhere. The food options are incredible, most people are kind, and the outdoor adventures are plentiful. We have fantastic concerts, beautiful art, and unique festivals.
